SCCPSS Middle School Swim Teams
Welcome to the middle school swimming program in the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System. All schools will practice together at the Chatham County Aquatic Center on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Swimming provides the opportunity to learn social skills, self- discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork. The middle school swimming program will serve sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students that are eligible and capable of making the swim team. The opportunity to participate is extended to students who are willing to assume the responsibilities and meet eligibility requirements.

Practice
Middle School will be practicing at the Chatham County Aquatic Center on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. Please arrive 15 minutes for aerobic exercises before practice starts, these exercises help minimize injuries and muscle cramps. All swimmers must attend two practices per week, unless other arrangements have been made with the coaches. ALL swimmers MUST have an updated physical and participation form on file at their school before tryouts. A swimmer will not be allowed to participate until all paperwork is on file with the school. All swimmers MUST provide their own transportation to and from practice.
October: 16th, 18th (try out new swimmers only)
21st, 23rd, 25th, 28th, and 30th
November: 1st, 4th, 6th, 13th, 18th, and 20th
December: 2nd,4th, 11th, and 13th
